Hello, 2024 Olympics!
The 2024 Summer Olympics, officially known in English as the Games of the XXXIII Olympiad (French: Les Jeux Olympiques d’été de 2024), is a Summer sporting event scheduled to be held from the 19th. July to August 4, 2024, in Paris, France. There have been 5 places for candidates to compete for the right to host: Paris of France, Los Angeles of the United States, Hamburg of Germany, Rome of Italy, and Budapest of Hungary. However, three cities, Hamburg, Rome, and Budapest, withdrew at the last minute, leaving only two candidates to host, Paris and Los Angeles.
Finally, the French capital Paris won the right to host in July 2017, the result was announced on 13 September 2017 by the International Olympic Committee after the 131st Meeting of the IOC in Lima, Peru. This is the third time France has hosted the Summer Olympics and Paris becomes the second city in the world after London to host the Summer Olympics three times.
The opening ceremony of the 2024 Summer Olympics will take place on the Seine river in the City of Paris, France. This will mark the first time the ceremony will be held outside the Olympic Stadium.
2024 Summer Olympics marketing has been a long-running campaign that began since Paris won its bid to host the games in 2017.
